Meghan Markle supposedly has laid down two specific prerequisites for even contemplating any reunion with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Duchess of Sussex is reportedly not willing to proceed without specific assurances. Royal expert Tom Quinn asserts that despite multiple attempts by William and Middleton to reconcile with the Sussexes, the rift between them persists.

As reported by The Mirror , Quinn said, "Harry would like a reconciliation, but supports his wife completely, and until she feels that the royal family have been sufficiently nice to her-and grovelingly apologized for the past, it's not going to happen." Quinn further suggested that Meghan’s influence may prevent Harry from attempting contact with William and Middleton.

The royal commentator remarked, “A change has occurred following Kate’s sickness. Both Harry and Meghan believe they should offer an olive branch; however, Meghan’s lingering resentment continues to hinder significant progress.” The analyst further noted, “Sickness frequently unites feuding relatives, and there was hope within Kensington Palace that perhaps Kate’s condition could serve as such a catalyst.” According to Quinn, the Cambridges attempted reconciliation with the Sussexes by inviting them over so that their kids—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—could come to Britain too. However, he stated, “Meghan definitely wouldn’t consider bringing her children back home under these circumstances.”

Although the divide still exists, Harry has expressed his determination not to abandon the quest for peace. As indicated by People magazine He envisions a future where his children can understand their heritage.
