Today’s Wordle Answer (Game #1510)

The answer is CORAL.

This was another relatively easy puzzle, helping to erase the memory of Wordle’s hardest month ever. CORAL has no real complications beyond the fact that there are a few similarly spelled words, such as MORAL, CAROL, POLAR, and MOLAR. Most players solved it in an average of 3.6 guesses.

My own experience wasn’t too difficult either. I started with MANGY, which left 406 possible solutions. My second guess, STARE, was a "terrific choice" according to WordleBot, but it still left 20 words. I then made a list of nine options, including RIVAL, RURAL, BRIAR, CROAK, CORAL, VIRAL, BORAX, POLAR, and VICAR. Ultimately, CORAL was the correct choice, and I ended up with a score of 3.

Yesterday’s Wordle Answer (Game #1509)

If you're in a different time zone where it's still Wednesday, here are some clues for yesterday's puzzle:

  • Vowels: Two vowels.
  • First Letter: G.
  • Repeated Letters: None.
  • Ending Letter: N.
  • Extra Clue: Yesterday's answer is an audible sign of pain or annoyance.

The answer was GROAN, making it one of the easiest puzzles so far this year. It had an average score of 3.4, and many players solved it quickly. My own performance wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t bad either.

What Is Wordle?

Wordle is a viral word game that challenges players to guess a five-letter word each day. You get six guesses, with each attempt revealing whether letters are in the correct position (green), in the word but wrong position (yellow), or not in the word at all (gray).

The game is available online via the Wordle website or through the New York Times’ Games app. Each day, the same word is used for all players, creating a shared challenge. The puzzle resets daily at midnight in your local time.

Wordle Rules

  1. Green means the letter is in the correct position.
  2. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
  3. Gray means the letter is not in the word.
  4. Answers are never plural.
  5. Letters can appear more than once.
  6. Each guess must be a valid word in Wordle’s dictionary.
  7. You don’t have to include correct letters in subsequent guesses unless playing on Hard mode.
  8. You have six guesses to solve the puzzle.
  9. You must complete the daily Wordle before midnight in your timezone.
  10. All answers come from Wordle’s list of 2,309 solutions, though the game accepts a wider pool of words as guesses.
