Pueblo Community Taizé Candlelight Service

On Friday, September 12, the Ascension Episcopal Church will host an ecumenical candlelight service at the Ascension Preschool Building, St. James Chapel, located at 1800 N. Greenwood St. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and feature sung prayers and silent meditation centered around the theme “Light of the World.” This gathering offers a peaceful and reflective experience for those seeking spiritual connection.

Writers' Workshop at The Ethos

Also on Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m., The Ethos will host a writers’ workshop. Attendees are encouraged to pay what they can upon arrival, though pre-registration is appreciated. This event provides a welcoming space for writers of all levels to share their work and engage in creative discussions.

Harvest Fest at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

On Saturday, September 13, the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center will hold its Harvest Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free community event celebrates the annual harvest with a variety of activities, including laser interactive floor games in the Buell, pretend baked goods, fall leaf decorating, and free temporary tattoos. There will also be photo opportunities, craft projects, and mini gallery tours at the Helen Thatcher White Gallery.

Pueblo Humanists Potluck

Later that day, from 4 to 8 p.m., the Pueblo Humanists will host a potluck social at the First Unitarian Society building located at 110 Calla Ave. This secular event welcomes members, guests, and other humanists and freethinkers from the region. Attendees are encouraged to bring food, soft drinks, or adult beverages. The venue is handicapped accessible.

Second Saturday Karaoke at The Ethos

From 6 to 11 p.m., The Ethos will offer a free karaoke night featuring KJs Treble and Harmony every second Saturday of the month. This event is open to all ages and provides a fun and inclusive atmosphere for music lovers.

Country Music Concert at Copper River

On Monday, September 15, the Pueblo Stamp Club will meet at Rawlings Library in the Thurston Meeting Room from 1 to 3 p.m. The focus will be on using the Scott Specialized and Classic Catalogues to identify rare stamps issued between 1840 and 1940. U.S. stamps from this period will be available for show and trade. The meeting is free and open to the public, welcoming all ages.

Nerd Night at The Ethos

On Wednesday, September 17, The Ethos will host Nerd Night from 5:30 to 10 p.m. This event features a teacher-led session where attendees can learn new tabletop games. Highlights include Mario Kart on N64 and various one-shot role-playing games. It is an all-ages, free event.

From September 19 to 21, the 31st Annual Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival will take place in the Union Avenue Historic District, Downtown Pueblo. Events include a kickoff concert, the Chile & Salsa Showdown, the Chihuahua & Friends Parade, a jalapeño eating contest, and the Pueblo Chile Balloon Fest. George Lopez Performance

Back to School Public Train Ride

On Saturday, September 20, the Pueblo Railway Museum will host a public train ride from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for engine rides and $10 for caboose rides. Children under 3 ride free.

On Thursday, September 25, the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center will present "Raquel’s Purple Pineapple Adventures" from 1 to 3 p.m. This performance is free for student groups in kindergarten through sixth grade.
