Indiana Jones Great Circle Patch 5: New Difficulty, RTX Hair, and More

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Gets Major Update 5
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has received a significant update on September 4, 2025. Alongside the release of the "The Order of Giants" expansion, players can now enjoy Update 5, which brings several new features and improvements to the game.
New Features in Update 5
Update 5 introduces a range of enhancements, including a new difficulty mode, advanced graphics technology, and additional content for radio stations. The most notable addition is the "Very Light" difficulty setting, which reduces the challenge of combat, allowing players to focus more on puzzles and exploration. This mode is ideal for those who prefer a less intense gameplay experience.
For players with high-end GPUs, such as Nvidia’s 50 RTX-series, the update includes support for RTX Hair. This feature uses ray-tracing technology to render hair in a more realistic manner, enhancing the visual quality of characters. However, it is recommended to enable this feature only on systems with 16GB of VRAM or more to ensure optimal performance.
Enhanced Radio Content
New radio hosts have been added to the Jazz and Opera stations found in Marshall College and the Vatican. Players can now tune into the Vatican radio sets to hear news broadcasts that cover events from around the game's world, adding an extra layer of immersion to the gameplay experience.
Inventory and Accessibility Improvements
The Quick Inventory has been updated to provide information about which outfits and disguises are safe or restricted in the current area. This helps players make informed decisions when choosing their attire during missions.
Several general fixes have also been implemented. For instance, an issue where fast-travel signposts might become unusable after dying while the combat timer was cooling down has been resolved. Restarting a checkpoint now makes these signposts functional again.
Other fixes include resolving issues with markers for adventure books, preventing control locks during stealth takedowns, and addressing problems with object placement during mantling or vaulting. Additionally, animation issues with Indy’s whip have been corrected, and his hand animations now properly reflect coin collection from a coin purse.
Mission-Specific Fixes
In the Vatican mission, players can no longer block themselves in the Necropolis by throwing an Antique Bust into an unreachable location. The "Secret of Giants" inscription number counter has also been fixed for players revisiting the Vatican using savegames from previous updates.
In Gizeh, issues with entering Nawal’s tent after dying nearby have been addressed, and Gina now follows the player through the last scorpion room in the Sanctuary of the Guardians mission. Players will no longer be stuck in the "buried in sand" scorpion fight upon revisiting Gizeh.
Indy will now give a voice clue about needing to burn objects before passing through the first Stelae tomb if the player hasn't purchased the Lighter. A crash that occurred while escaping from the Nazi Compound with Gina has also been resolved, along with issues related to talking to Professor Savage at the Gizeh Village market.
Enhancements in Nepal and Sukhothai
In Nepal, Gina's movements during wall-presses have been improved to prevent unnatural sidesteps. In Sukhothai, issues with Indy’s whip detaching from branches and camera shaking during shallow water dives have been fixed.
Iraq and UI Improvements
In Iraq, a crash that occurred during rare circumstances while escaping from the Nazi Compound has been addressed. Additionally, an issue where players could not talk to Professor Savage at the Gizeh Village market under certain conditions has been resolved.
The UI and accessibility sections have also seen improvements. The "continue" button no longer appears visually corrupted when pausing during a level load, and the description of the "Performance Metrics" menu option has been corrected. The in-game Manual text now adjusts to match the player's choice of enabling or disabling control toggles.
Audio and PC-Specific Fixes
Audio-related issues have been addressed, including a persistent plane propeller sound in other levels after revisiting Shanghai. Gina’s voice lines when using the boat radio in Sukhothai are now correctly processed.
On PC, issues with switching between Native TAA and other upscalers like DLSS, XeSS, or FSR have been resolved. Frame Generation no longer disables when skipping cutscenes or restarting checkpoints. Glass on Clerical Doors and water caustic reflection effects have also been fixed when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
Xbox and Steam Deck Fixes
For Xbox users, an issue with subtitles briefly flickering between camera cuts in cutscenes has been resolved. On Steam Deck, a black screen issue during the first launch due to shader pipeline generation has been addressed.
Localization Updates
Additional one-liners from Indy when finishing combat are now available in non-English languages. An issue with reversed controller input in the Arabic localization on the "Apply Video Settings" confirmation menu has been fixed. In Russian language settings, keyboard bindings now use Latin alphabet characters instead of Cyrillic based on community feedback.
Players experiencing difficulties accessing the new content can refer to guides for starting the "The Order of Giants" DLC.
