Ned Fulmer, a former member of the popular YouTube group Try Guys, has confirmed that he and his wife, Ariel Fulmer, separated after his extramarital affair was exposed in 2022. The couple, who married in 2012, have two sons together—Wesley and Finn—and had been in a long-term relationship before the scandal. Their separation came as a result of the emotional fallout from Ned's infidelity, which was revealed through social media posts involving one of his employees.

In a candid conversation on the debut episode of his podcast, Rock Bottom, aired on September 17, Ned and Ariel discussed the incident for the first time publicly. They revealed that they had been separated since the scandal broke, though they continue to co-parent their children and maintain a level of friendship.

“We are still friends, we have children together, we go on trips together,” Ned said during the interview. “There is a spectrum of being together—not together. There’s ways in which we’re together, but the way that everyone wants to know, like, ‘Are you still, like, an item? Are you still a couple?’ No.”

A Creative Partnership and Shared Life

Ariel Fulmer is not only Ned’s wife but also a creative force in her own right. She is an interior designer and ceramicist who has worked on various projects over the years. After studying sociology, art history, and design, she became known for her work in interior design, including renovating her and Ned’s Los Angeles home in 2018.

She also founded her own vintage styling and design store, Fig + Stone, in 2015, and later transitioned into ceramics, launching her own studio, Ariel Fulmer Ceramics. Her work is celebrated for its aesthetic appeal and attention to detail.

The couple’s partnership extended beyond their personal life. Ned and Ariel frequently appeared together in videos created by the Try Guys, a YouTube channel that gained significant popularity. A Long Marriage and Sudden Change

Ned and Ariel met around New Year’s Eve 2010 and got married on June 16, 2012. Before the scandal, Ned often posted photos of their wedding to celebrate their anniversaries. In 2017, he shared a photo with the caption, “Five years ago today I married the most caring, intelligent and wonderful woman in the world.” He continued to express his love for Ariel in 2021, marking their ninth anniversary with a heartfelt message.

The couple welcomed their first son, Wesley, in April 2018, and later added another son, Finn, in November 2021. Ned frequently shared updates about their family on social media, highlighting the joy of parenthood.

The Impact of the Affair

In 2022, the couple’s lives changed dramatically when Ned admitted to having an extramarital affair with one of his production company employees. The scandal was widely publicized, and the rest of the Try Guys members addressed the situation, stating that Ned was no longer part of the group due to his actions not aligning with the company’s values.

Ariel described how she discovered the truth about the affair. “I found out about your affair from the fans,” she shared on the Rock Bottom podcast. “I was so blindsided that somebody sent me a picture, and I couldn’t — it was like my brain couldn’t compute. For some reason, I couldn’t see what was actually there. I thought it was your sister.”

She recalled the confusion and pain that followed, adding, “How did I not see what was going on? What was so f----- up in my brain that I couldn’t see what was happening in that picture?”

Moving Forward Without Forgiveness

Three years after the scandal, Ned and Ariel confirmed that they had separated. While they have maintained a level of co-parenting, Ariel made it clear that she has not forgiven Ned for his actions. “Absolutely not. How can you forgive somebody for lying to you. For cheating on you. No. F--- no,” she said on the podcast.

Despite this, Ariel emphasized that forgiveness is not her goal. Instead, she focuses on maintaining a healthy relationship with Ned for the sake of their children. “We’ve been together for a long time, and you are the father of my two beautiful children, and we know each other really well,” she said. “We’ve worked through a lot of stuff, and the fact that I can be around you and still have a good time and enjoy spending time with you and enjoy spending time with my kids — I think that’s a win.”

Ned acknowledged the difficulty of the situation, calling it “the most devastating” to work through. However, he and Ariel have managed to build a more platonic relationship, focusing on their shared responsibilities as parents.
