Friday Football Roundup: Key Highlights from October 10

On Friday, October 10, several high school football teams across South Jersey showcased their talents on the field. Here are some of the standout performances and game highlights from that day.

Atlantic City 26, Eastern 7

Tamir Rex played a crucial role in the Vikings' victory, scoring two second-half touchdowns. His 25-yard pass from quarterback Marvin Burroughs helped the team take the lead, and he added a 76-yard touchdown to seal the win. Eastern led most of the game thanks to a one-yard touchdown run by Nick Curreri, but they couldn't maintain their advantage.

Audubon 31, Collingswood 12

Dylan Hoff was instrumental in leading the Green Wave to a win with two first-half touchdowns. Noah Batillo also contributed with a two-yard TD run at the start of the game. Despite Collingswood's efforts to close the gap, Audubon managed to pull away with big plays late in the game, including a 59-yard reception by Nolan Figueroa and a 60-yard return by Mike Aversa.

Bishop Eustace 28, Holy Cross Prep 12

The Crusaders made a strong comeback to overcome a 12-point deficit. Tommy Dromgoole and Roman Faiola each scored two touchdowns, with Dromgoole's fumble recovery in the end zone sealing the win. Holy Cross Prep had an early lead thanks to a 12-yard touchdown pass from Shane Reilley to Anthony D'Ambrosio and a two-yard run by Reilley.

Bordentown 47, Riverside 8

Thomas Lee had a stellar performance for the Scotties, throwing three touchdown passes and adding a rushing TD. The team built a strong halftime lead and continued to dominate in the second half, with Luke Harris and Jacob Blanding contributing with long runs. Dean Potts briefly cut the lead to 14-8 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to stop Bordentown’s momentum.

Bridgeton 35, Absegami 21

Dante Howell played a key role in the Bulldogs’ victory, with four touchdown passes. He tied the game at halftime and then took control in the second half with a 54-yard run and a 30-yard touchdown pass. Logan Simpson also contributed with a 23-yard pass and a 14-yard run to help Bridgeton secure the win.

Cumberland 27, Deptford 6

Delran dominated the game with three defensive scores and a punt return touchdown. Justin Mary returned an interception for a 40-yard score, while Giovanni Marshall-Edwards had a 25-yard pick-six. Micah Davidson added a 51-yard punt return, and Anthony Yates scored twice, once on a fumble recovery and once on a rushing touchdown. Vinny Sacca threw two touchdown passes to Jack Jordan and Marshall-Edwards.

Glassboro 42, Cinnaminson 0

Jack O'Connell threw four touchdown passes, two each to Xavier Sabb and Mekhi Parker, as the Bulldogs improved to 7-0. Amari Sabb added a 28-yard touchdown run, and JoJo DeLecce scored on a nine-yard run. The defense held Cinnaminson scoreless, extending Glassboro's win streak to 20 games.

Gloucester 34, Schalick 6

Ibrahim Hudwell had a standout performance, running for 136 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Rylan Coffigny opened the scoring with a 60-yard pass from Kevin Boulden, and Neeko Hoard returned an interception for a 71-yard touchdown. David Stewart got Schalick off to a good start with a four-yard TD run, but Gloucester ultimately pulled away.

Kingsway 63, Clearview 0

Cole DeNick had an incredible game, scoring six touchdowns for the Dragons. He ran for five touchdowns and caught a 30-yard reception. David Oravetz added two more touchdown passes, and J.D. Johnson returned a punt for a score. The Dragons extended their winning streak to five games.

Lindenwold 38, Palmyra 18

Charles Barbour made an impact on both sides of the ball, catching a touchdown pass and returning an interception for a score. Chace Mulherin scored on two one-yard runs, and Aaron Clark-Wells had a 65-yard pick-six for Palmyra. However, Lindenwold managed to secure the win.

Mainland 54, Egg Harbor 6

Jake Blum set new school records with two touchdowns and a receiving yardage mark. He scored from three and 37 yards on passes from John Franchini. Lucas DeBiaso, Liam Kennedy, AJ Gouckler, and Finn Hitchner all added touchdown runs. Jalen McClellan opened the scoring for Egg Harbor with a 23-yard TD catch.

Ocean City 48, Middle Township 0

Jordan Becker started the scoring with a 10-yard run and then threw two touchdown passes. Cole Garreffi returned a kickoff for a TD, and Triston Schmidt, Anthony DiLorenzo, and Samir Kelly added scores. The defense held Middle Township scoreless throughout the game.

Overbrook 34, Camden Catholic 20

Teriq Moore led the Rams' comeback with 105 yards rushing and 130 yards passing, combining for three touchdowns. Axcel Bailey added a one-yard run and a 36-yard TD run to extend the lead. While Camden Catholic fought back with two touchdown passes, Overbrook managed to hold on for the win.

Robbinsville 33, Moorestown 25

St. Augustine 27, Lenape 0

Roman Coney had a dominant performance with 151 yards and 22 carries, scoring on two second-quarter runs. DJ Lewis opened the scoring with a 53-yard punt return, and Ty McLeer closed out the game with a 23-yard catch. The Hermits improved to 5-1 on the season.

Seneca 31, Hammonton 15

Anthony Tirico passed for two touchdowns and scored on a one-yard run. Kingston Williams caught both of Tirico's touchdown passes, while Tyler Hood kicked a 25-yard field goal. Chase Horner added a rushing touchdown. Cole Landicini had a strong game for Hammonton, throwing two touchdown passes.

Shawnee 36, Pennsauken 14

Tyler Nickles and Cole Anderson each scored two touchdowns as the Renegades rolled to a road win. Nickles had runs of 58 and 57 yards, while Anderson added scoring runs of seven and 14 yards. Brett Lundberg capped the game with a 19-yard TD run, and Nyzir Negron contributed with a 35-yard pass and a four-yard run.

Sterling 21, Clayton 6

Jermaine Stewart turned a one-point game into a commanding lead with a 48-yard fumble return. He then sealed the win with a three-yard run. Jayden Ali-Ward scored on a 50-yard pass, and Gabrielle Hill added a one-yard touchdown run. However, Sterling's defense held strong to secure the victory.

Trenton 28, Northern Burlington 22

Brett Walulak threw a touchdown pass and ran for two second-half touchdowns in a comeback attempt that fell just short. After Trenton scored three straight touchdowns, Walulak cut the deficit in half with a four-yard run. The Tornadoes scored again, but Walulak added a nine-yard touchdown and a 2-point conversion to make it a six-point game.

Triton 21, Highland 7

Jon Pettigrew gave the Mustangs an insurmountable lead with a nine-yard run. Jake Manion opened the scoring with a two-yard run, and Connor McBride put the game away with a 22-yard reception. Jamere Roberts had a 58-yard run for the Tartans in the first quarter.

Washington Township 38, Rancocas Valley 17

Colin Beeler scored two of the Minutemen's four rushing touchdowns as the team extended its unbeaten streak to seven games. Andrew Osborn and Jaylen Robinson added scores, while Luke Sheets kicked a 24-yard field goal. Parker Resse recovered a fumble for a 19-yard score. Jameson Hollander kicked a 38-yard field goal, and Jameer Bellamy and Hakim Theresa added touchdowns.

Williamstown 21, Cherokee 14

Elijah Campbell scored on a three-yard run to lift the Braves to a homecoming win. The defense contributed with two interceptions and a fumble recovery to protect the lead. Trey Alexander and Tyson Forman opened the scoring for Williamstown, while Dylan Kolinsky alternated scores for the Chiefs.

Woodbury at Willingboro (Postponed)

The game between Woodbury and Willingboro has been postponed to Monday at 5 p.m.
