Dress for Success Triangle NC Expands West to Support Women Impacted by Change

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — While efforts to recuperate from Hurricane Helene continue, Dress for Success Triangle NC is stepping up to make an impact.

A truck loaded with provisions departed from Raleigh on Friday and made its way towards Asheville.

“Reclaim & Rise: Take the Next Step in Your Career” supports women who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene, facing challenges in their careers, or are simply looking for a fresh start.

Dress for Success views these initiatives as a means to assist women in advancing their careers by providing them with the necessary tools and support to achieve this.

At Reclaim & Rise, participants will get:

• 2-3 free pieces of professional attire for interviews/job searches
• A complimentary brief career evaluation to assist with charting the next course in their employment quest.
• Complimentary toiletry bags packed with necessities
• Entrance to online career mentoring along with various assistance initiatives, offerings, and certifications (this includes Google Career Certificates).

The event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at the DoubleTree Hotel Asheville located at 199 Haywood Street in Asheville.

No registration is required as it is a come-and-go event.

For women in Western North Carolina unable to attend the event, Dress for Success provides complimentary virtual career coaching along with career support programs.

Dress for Success expressed their deep gratitude to WBON Triangle for extending an invitation to collaborate on this event, as well as acknowledging their community partners who have generously sponsored it: Habitat for Humanity, Our Voice, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, HomeTrust Bank, and the Philippine Nurses Association of NC, all of whom stand alongside them in supporting women throughout the area.
