George County Names New School Superintendent

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. ( WKRG George County Schools has appointed Debra Joiner as their new superintendent of education.

Over the past 17 years, Joiner has worked as an administrator for the school district, also functioning as a parent volunteer and teacher, as stated in a news release from George County Schools.

“Mrs. Joiner is a firm believer that educators have the important responsibility of ensuring that we have well-educated citizens who are ready, willing and able to join the workforce and to take on leadership roles for our communities, state and country,” the release said.

Joiner will begin her duties as superintendent on July 1.
