Theodore Woman Who Led Police on Wild Chase From Mobile to Mississippi Arrested and Identified: MPD
MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Authorities from the Mobile Police Department have recognized the female suspect they apprehended following a police pursuit from Mobile County to Mississippi on April 24
As reported by authorities, 30-year-old Renada Deshon Washington was apprehended following a pursuit that started in Tillmans Corner and concluded in Moss Point.
Washington reportedly started the pursuit while driving a vehicle that had been reported as stolen.
Law enforcement officials mentioned that they tried to halt her near Highway 90 and Three Notch Road; however, she did not comply and collided with a police car prior to being pursued via I-10. She then took detours through side streets eventually entering Mississippi.
The pursuit concluded after Washington reportedly tried to reverse the vehicle on Franklin Creek Road near Independence Road, but the car became trapped in the mud.
Authorities stated that another individual was inside the vehicle with Washington during the pursuit. This person remains unidentified, and it is unclear whether they will be facing any charges.
Washington has been admitted to Mobile Metro Jail. She faces charges including first-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree theft of property, first-degree receipt of stolen property, and felony attempted evasion.
