The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission shifts seamlessly, and the GTS can cover a quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds at 116 mph. The sport exhaust system adds to the experience, amplifying the V-8's sound through four dark bronze exhaust tips.
Visual Identity and Interior Features
The GTS has several visual identifiers that set it apart from hybrid and base models. Blacked-out details on the nose, headlights, body trim, and badging give it a sleek exterior. Red brake calipers behind 21-inch Anthracite Grey Turbo S center-lock wheels provide a striking contrast. These calipers clamp down on cross-drilled iron rotors, allowing the Panamera to stop from 70 mph in 154 feet and from 100 mph in 303 feet. Carbon-ceramic rotors are available for an additional cost.
Inside, the GTS offers 18-way adjustable adaptive sport seats. Optional interior colorways include a bright Carmine Red or a soft mousey Slate Grey Neo. The interior is designed with minimalism in mind, focusing on luxury without excessive embellishments. The GTS features a Bose sound system, a Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dash, and a push-to-pass button on the steering wheel. While the interior is attractive and spacious, it could use more padding for comfort.
Handling and Ride Quality
The Panamera GTS is intended to be the most driver-connected variant. It prioritizes handling, achieving a skidpad grip of 0.96 g. The suspension includes stiffer anti-roll bars and is lower by 0.4 inches compared to the base model. An optional rear-axle steering system enhances cornering performance. However, the ride quality is less forgiving, with a rough feel in both the front and back seats.
While the GTS is ideal for those seeking an uncompromising performance ride, it may not be the best choice for families or those who prioritize comfort. The Panamera GTS is a unique offering, catering to a specific buyer who values space and performance over comfort.
