Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
CCRES is hiring for the 2025-2026 school year, with tentative start dates in late August or early September. This role is ideal for individuals who want to work directly with students in schools, homes, and community settings. PCAs provide one-to-one support to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other special needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing emotional support and behavioral interventions based on the student’s medical needs.
- Assisting with behavior management, conflict resolution, and peer interaction skills.
- Collecting daily data and documenting progress notes.
- Supporting students with personal care needs.
The starting hourly rate is $22, which can increase to $25.50 over time. PCAs typically work during school hours, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (secondary) or 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (elementary). Assignments are available throughout Chester County, including the Chester County Intermediate Unit Child and Career Development Center and CCIU’s Learning Center.
To qualify, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience working with school-aged children and those with autism or special needs. Additional credentialing requirements include PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance, TB screening, and education documentation.

Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA)
The Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA) is an independent contract position within Montgomery County. The role offers flexible scheduling, with opportunities to work during school hours, after school, or in the evenings.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing and monitoring individual treatment plans for children with behavioral and mental health disorders.
- Assisting in developing adaptive skills for students to succeed in school, home, and community settings.
- Training Behavior Health Technicians on therapeutic interventions.
- Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).
The hourly rate for this position is $60. Qualifications require a Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis or a related field, along with a Pennsylvania license in psychology, counseling, social work, or a similar profession. Candidates must also have at least 12 credits in ABA and one year of full-time experience, or equivalent supervised experience.
Additional requirements include PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance, FBI background clearance, current TB screening, and professional liability insurance.
Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
The Behavior Analyst / BCBA position is another independent contract role, working within Chester County. These professionals collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support children with behavioral and mental health disorders.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans.
- Enhancing adaptive skills for students to improve their quality of life.
- Providing behavioral consultation to families and schools.
- Training Behavior Health Technicians on effective interventions.
- Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments.
The hourly rate for this position is $85. To qualify, candidates must hold a PA Behavior Specialist License and be certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
