I found this one a bit challenging, taking five attempts to solve. The word has a double letter, which made it harder than usual. My starting word was ORATE, which helped me identify two of the common letters. However, I still had several options left to consider.

The best start words according to WordleBot, such as PLATE and TABLE, were more efficient. If you used SLATE, you would have been left with only four possible answers. My next move was ACUTE, which confirmed the position of the letter 'A' but didn’t eliminate many options. Then I tried HASTE, which turned 'A' green but didn't add much else. Eventually, I settled on MATTE after ruling out other possibilities.

Yesterday’s Wordle Answer

If you're catching up from a different time zone, the answer to Wordle #1,518 was LEVEL. This puzzle had two repeated letters, which made it a bit more complex. Fortunately, both 'E' and 'L' are among the most common Wordle letters, making it easier to solve.

My initial guess was ORATE, which only revealed the letter 'E'. That left a lot of possibilities, but using the best start words like LANCE or LEAPT helped narrow things down. I eventually played KNEEL, which led me to the correct answer in four moves.
