A Wide Array of Performances and Activities at the 2025 Arts in the Heart Festival

The 2025 Arts in the Heart festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community. This three-day event will feature an impressive lineup of performances across eight stages located throughout downtown Augusta. From music and dance to puppet shows and storytelling, there is something for everyone at this year’s festival.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Global Stage, where Grammy-winning band Soul Asylum will perform on Saturday night. Other notable acts include pop and R&B singer Niki Harris, who will take the stage on Sunday afternoon. The festival also offers a variety of other stages, each with its own unique lineup of performers and activities.

Schedule Highlights for Each Stage

Global Stage

• Friday: The day begins with opening ceremonies at 5 p.m., followed by performances from Muz Mercer, AE The Cool, and Major Sound.
• Saturday: The schedule includes a range of acts such as Suzuki Strings, Traditional Korean Music Team, and the Augusta Players, culminating with Soul Asylum at 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday: The day wraps up with performances from Mali Music, Chris Parker & Friends, and Sounds of Zamar.

Community Stage

• Friday: Artists like Adam Diehl, Public Mind, and The Neon Peach will take the stage.
• Saturday: The schedule features Chris Hardy, Dusty Angels, and The Hoyt Clagwells.
• Sunday: Performers include Steve Fowler, Changeover, and the May River Symphony.

Jazz Stage

• Friday: The stage will host 440 Instruments, The Music Tank, and Shakia Chanel.
• Saturday: Acts include Vinyl Feature, SoulNote Gospel Brunch, and Nery Kim.
• Sunday: Niki Haris and Laiken Love are among the performers scheduled.

Family Stage

Story Time Tent

• Friday: Yvette Long will read at 5:30 and 7 p.m.
• Saturday: Ron Baxley Jr. and Christina Petrides will read at various times.
• Sunday: E.G. Creel and Melissa Burch will be featured.

Street Performers

• Friday: Yvette and Eastwind Castle will perform along the Riverwalk.
• Saturday: The Aiken County Sheriff’s Pipes and Drums and That Puppet Guy will entertain.
• Sunday: Eastwind Castle and Plein Air Painters will be present.

Literary Lounge

• Friday: Kelyisha Hayden, Jerry Miller, and Lucinda Clark will share their work.
• Saturday: Tunisia Williams, Charmain Brackett, and Melissa Burch will speak and read.
• Sunday: Tiffany Manriquez, Christina Petrides, and Cathy Goldberg-Fishman will participate in author talks and readings.
