ASU Athletics Maintains All-Time Graduation Success Rate
Arizona State athletics has once again achieved its all-time high of 93% Graduation Success Rate (GSR), marking the third consecutive year of this achievement. This announcement was made by the NCAA on November 19. Thirteen teams at ASU posted GSR scores of 100%, which is tied for the largest number of teams in the nation. These teams include men’s and women’s basketball, beach volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, water polo, and wrestling.
Since 2008, ASU has either maintained or surpassed its all-time best GSR. The GSR has increased by 24% since the metric was first introduced by the NCAA in 2005. After surpassing its original goal of 80% in 2012, ASU set a new goal of 90%. Among women student-athletes, the GSR is 97%, marking the eighth consecutive year at 95% or better. For men, it's the fifth year at 89% or better.
